Festival of the Book 2025 Artist’s Talk: Paper Marbling with Brittani Locke

Join surface designer Brittani Locke at the Center for the Book as she explores traditional marbling techniques that go beyond endpapers, including fore-edge decoration, book cloth, and wearable fabrics.
Locke is renowned for her hand-marbled endpapers and has received commissions from private collectors and book publishers. She also finds inspiration in fashion design, weaving the art of marbling into decorative textiles.
After the festival, don’t miss Brittani Locke, who will return to the Book Arts Studio on May 24 and 25 to lead a two-day marbling workshop.
