Brittani Locke is a fabric artist working in a dedicated marbling studio in Maryland, specializing in hand marbled silk scarves created using traditional Ebru and water marbling techniques. Trained through years of dedicated practice and mentorship under master marblers Dan and Regina St. John. Each piece is crafted individually, combining controlled pattern work with fluid, organic movement unique to the medium.

Fabric Marbling Process

Paint is placed and shaped directly on the surface of the marbling bath, where each movement directly shapes the pattern.

Once resolved, the design is transferred to silk in a single step—capturing the composition exactly as it exists in that moment.
